TreeHouse Foods Recalls Frozen Waffles Over Listeria Risk

Last Updated: October 21, 2024By Tags: , , ,

Illinois-based TreeHouse Foods is recalling several frozen waffle products sold at major retailers, including Walmart, Target, and Publix, due to possible listeria contamination. The recall covers store brands and popular names like Kodiak Cakes and Simple Truth, with no reported illnesses so far. The issue was discovered through routine testing at one of the company’s facilities, and the recall extends to both the U.S. and Canada.

Consumers are urged to check their freezers and either discard or return the affected waffles. Listeria can cause flu-like symptoms, and it poses serious risks to older adults, pregnant individuals, and those with weakened immune systems.
