Court Upholds Military Overseas Voting Rights
The Michigan Court of Claims ruled in favor of the Michigan Department of State, dismissing a lawsuit filed by the Republican National Committee (RNC). The lawsuit sought changes that would affect the voting rights of military and overseas citizens in Michigan.
Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson responded, stating that the court’s decision supports these voters’ rights and ensures election integrity. She noted that more than one million Michigan voters have already cast absentee or early ballots as the General Election progresses.
